Graduation

We finally made it to graduation a few weeks ago. An event we've been preparing for since the first week of April. That's 3 months, people! It was grueling to get 16, 5 and 6 year olds to remember a scene, a speech, and dance moves.

Mini, Penny, and Yuna

Ian and Beckham
What you can't see is that the shirts for the boys in my class were basically backless!!

Tim from KIA, Riaan's class.

Tina in Panda 1. Her brother, Ali, is in my class.

Luis and Katelyn, from Panda 2.
These little cab driver costumes were ridiculous. The sleeves were sequined, and their little hats were adorable.
A little less than half of my class.

This is little Sunny, from Baby class. And that is a braided yarn bow in her hair.

Nic and Riaan, 2 other foreign teachers. Nic has since left, but graduation was during Riaan's first week.

Luis, this was his last week as well.
The children's costumes were ridiculous and really had nothing to do with the performances they were doing at all.

It seemed a little elaborate for a kindergarten graduation, but hey, I wasn't paying for it. All the kids did really well, except for Lawrence from my class, who had a little meltdown when he got on stage. Brother was jumping up and down, waving his arms, and hitting the projector screen behind him. All while the rest of the class was dancing to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Good times. So glad it's over.

Strangest thing though, school doesn't end until 3 weeks after graduation. What!? How is that fair? School is basically over, and the kids know it.  They're like sharks circling the water. Things could get messy...
